This
is what just a few of our S.A. moms have to say about us:
“Preggi Bellies was literally my
lifesaver. Nobody expects complications when having a baby
but it
sometimes happens. After having my little girl I developed
pneumonia and
a lung
infection and the specialists said that if I hadn’t been as
fit
as I was
I might have been a lot
worse. So, the message for me is clear.
Even when you feel tired and you don’t feel like
getting up and
going to that
class – pick up your car keys and get going! Not
only will
your baby
be
strong, tall and lean but you will be protecting yourself and making
sure that
you’re
strong enough to
look after the most amazing gift anyone could ever ask
for…”
Kerry, South Africa
“Firstly
I would like to thank you for all
your support and care throughout my training period.
I joined the postnatal classes when
my son was starting his fourth month and I was still
suffering a lot of
discomfort from a c-section. I
must
admit I was a bit sceptical as to whether
the classes were for me or not. However I weighted this
against the fact that
entering the gym would make me cringe
and feel nauseous at the sight of all
those skinny and fit women clad in the
stretchiest or lycra!!! (I still had a
post preggy boep and this would not hide under even my
hubby’s t-shirts.)
Anyhow, I persevered through the
sessions and I must admit I wondered to myself often “if I
feel like
I'm about
to drop dead after class, how did the preggi bellies themselves
feel?!!” Now, I can safely say that by the time I
attended my classes after the New Year, I was thin.
This of course was according to everyone in
the class (mostly pregnant of course) and the fact that my old Levi jeans fit
nice and snug! So
now I am sweating it
out in cotton lycra and have joined the sore bods at the gym.
Thank
you to the preggi bellies team
once again and I sure will miss the classes.
PS
- I strongly recommend postnatal
classes whether one trained with PB before or not as it
eases the
transition to
exercising post birth.”
Chio,
South Africa
“I
started my Preggi Bellies
training when I was about 15 weeks pregnant - had I known about it
sooner I
would have started even earlier! I owe the Preggi Bellies team a huge
thank
you,
because
it was, I feel, largely to do with my training, that the whole
experience was so 'easy' for me.
Throughout my
pregnancy, I felt energised and
so fit and I was fortunate to go through it
with no complications. I also
experienced no backache or any other pain and I was told that
this had
a lot to
do with the core strengethening exercises done during Preggi Bellies
training. My son was born via
ceasarian
section on the 21st of December
and it was just the best
experience ever. I recovered so quickly
and when I
left
hospital three days later, I stopped
taking
painkillers because I
honestly
didn't need them anymore. I was up and about in no time
at all, getting
stronger by the day. This also meant I could really enjoy my precious
new
little
bundle. And he is such a
calm and content little boy - also one of the
good side effects of the Preggi Bellies
training I
believe! And another great
thing is that now, two months down the line,
I am
back to my pre-pregnancy
weight.
So, thank you all so much. I really miss the training and although I am
now
back as a
'post-natal' I would happily go through
it all again
tomorrow, big
belly and all!
Since I started, I have been spreading the word about Preggi Bellies
and I will
of course carry on. I hope you continue
to enrol loads more moms!”
Katie, South Africa
“How amazing is Preggi Bellies?
Being a pregnant woman suffering
from Type 2 Diabetes, the risk of gestational diabetes is
high. So
you can imagine my joy at finding the Preggi Bellies
programme. The
exercise
programme has helped me to maintain my sugar levels, keep my
weight gain within acceptable levels and
at my
34 week check up,
my doctor and I were impressed with the quality of the
umbilical
cord -
all attributable to the Preggi Bellies programme.
I recommend it to every pregnant woman out there!”
Donne, South
Africa
“Your
instructors deserve a big hug
from all us - as do you - for all the support, friendship,
kindness,
exercise
and challenge because it has added to the positive experience of being
pregnant.
I strongly maintain
that my good health for the last 6 months has
been largely due to Preggi Bellies and
my commitment
to keeping fit and being
positive. I hope that I can get back
into shape and
remain so with the help of
Preggi Bellies once my baby has been born - I
certainly
aim to try!”
Louise, South Africa
“Preggi
Bellies definitely was a
sane hour 3 times a week - there were loads of other people
who were
experiencing the same thing that I was, had suggestions on how to deal
with
them, and
if not, then at least I knew I was not alone!
I could exercise in confidence
knowing that everything I was doing was suitable for me to be
doing. It
definitely helped keep the weight under control and the figure vaguely
in
control which following the birth has
paid off - within 10 days I was back in
my jeans!
I think that it certainly helped me
recover quicker from my Caesar - I was in hospital with a girl
who had a Caesar
the day after I did - it took her 3 days to be up and about properly,
whereas I
was walking around to the nurses concern
just about as soon as the epidural
wore off!”
Andrea, South Africa
“Hi
Guys.
Here is a picture of our little
Benjamin – born on Sunday 01st October at 5:30am
– a bit earlier
than expected. The birth was
really great – quick and not nearly as
traumatic and painful as
last time. I definitely think
that the classes
have given me more energy before and after the
birth.”
Amy
“I
had a beautiful,
healthy baby girl 2 weeks ago on the 18th Sept, she was
3.48kgs at
birth and
all went
well. She was born by C-section due to the fact that I had a C-section
for my
first baby. My
recovery from the
C-section has been 10 times faster than last time and I am
positive that
this
is in no small part due to regular attendance at Preggi Bellies
classes. I also gained less
overall weight and
am
feeling fit and healthy post birth.
Thank you for this and
keep up
the amazing work you are doing!
Thank you once again
for a professional and much needed service.”
Kirsty, South Africa
“Just to let you know - my baby
(Archie) was born by C-section on Weds 20 Sept - hence the
reason I was not at
the Preggi-bellies class on 23 Sept! Archie weighed
in at 3.9kg and
54cm long. Both he and I are
doing well.
I am certain that the classes have
really helped to keep me strong and positive throughout my
pregnancy and have
helped significantly with the recovery from the C-section. I
will
definitely
be recommending Preggi-bellies to any
friends!”
Heidi, South Africa
“Hi
to all you
wonderful people at Preggi Bellies
Thank you for your
email, I appreciate your ongoing concern. Thank you for the calls when
I have
been very upset or missed a class, I really appreciate it. Your classes
are
fantastic and have made a huge
difference to my energy levels and overall
toning.”
Karen, South Africa
“Just
to give a little background….
I had two car accidents in October & end November last
year
respectively. With the last accident I got hurt quite badly
on
the lower
back and spine.
With this,
we also found out that I was pregnant;
therefore they could not do much but
prescribe bed
rest.
My biggest concern was carrying my
baby full term as I am a voluptuous sized woman (then
weighing
in at 98kgs).
I have since then lost +/- 9kgs and of that, I have only gained back
3kgs. My gynaecologist recommended that I started with Preggi
Bellies. I was out of town for
Feb / Mar on courses (where, I had to
chase 3 robbers from the flat I was staying in during the
course).
Imagine all that and still I have had the healthiest pregnancy ever.
(My first
boy is now 2 and he was a difficult
one….)
I am so content with joining Preggi
Bellies and even though I have not been able to attend as
religiously as I would’ve
wanted to, my back is stronger and I feel 100% compared to what it
could
have
been like.
I went for my 32 week check recently
and my Doctor was delighted with the growth and health
of both of us. (And that
after falling down twice in one day) The baby’s
weight is +/- 2kg and
he
is as healthy as can be.
Many thanks to all of you at Preggi
Bellies. I have been getting so many compliments on how
well I have been
looking throughout my pregnancy. When you are a well-rounded
(I like to
refer to myself as having a romantic
build) it is so easy to look bad when you
are expecting, and
even easier to just let go of
yourself. I have not
been following any set diet as I was taught in
my first pregnancy if you feel
like having for e.g. cake; have a slice not the whole damn
cake. I enjoy
what I like when I like to and take my supplements regularly.
Thanks to
Preggi Bellies, I’m a healthy
pregnant woman who is feeling great and have more
energy than I thought was
possible considering.
I have also been promoting your
classes via word of mouth as I think this is a great program to
follow when
expecting. Once again thank you for
providing a service such as this.”
Christelle, South Africa
I started Preggi Bellies when I was 18 weeks pregnant with
my
second child. I hadn’t done a stitch of
exercise for about 3 years!!!! When I
was pregnant with my first child
I didn’t feel like exercising and
did nothing
throughout the pregnancy and I’ve done nothing since (my
daughter
is now 3 years old).
So I was incredibly unfit
when I started the classes, but within 4-5 weeks I could notice
a
marked
improvement in my fitness levels
and my energy levels. An added bonus was that I was beginning to
experience some degree of stress
incontinence from
about 12 weeks (when I sneezed or coughed),
and after 4-5 weeks of Preggi Bellies
this
disappeared completely and never came back – even when
I was near the end of the pregnancy and
the baby was
applying serious pressure to my bladder!
I
had a natural birth and it was extremely quick and easy. The
contractions started at about 8pm and
the baby was
born at 10:30. After I was taken to the labour ward, I only had to push
twice and the
baby was out – with no tearing or episiotomy. I also
recovered
remarkably quickly. At 7:00 the next
morning, the doctor said I could be
discharged if I
wanted to because I was fine – I honestly didn’t
feel
like I had just had a baby. I had no
pain at all and
I felt 100%. I firmly believe that it was due to the
Preggi Bellies classes that I had such
an easy birth
and quick recovery. Now I just have to psych
myself up
to start the post-natal
classes!!!!

Dear Preggi Bellies Team
After
38 weeks of a rather hot and tiring pregnancy I delivered a beautiful
little girl by C-Section on
the 16th of March
2007. The reason for my email is that I want you to know that
my recovery has been amazing it is now
10 days later and I don’t even have a scar I have lost most
of my tummy and in fact lost 5kg within
the 1st 7 days after delivery.
I
am sure the reason for my speedy recovery is that I attended Preggi
Bellies from around 9 weeks of my
pregnancy religiously at least twice a week. I hope to return
to classes after my next 6 week visit
with my gynecologist as I am sure I will
be more then ready by then to start my post natal training.
Thank
you to all the instructors of the Preggi Bellies team for being so
caring and nurturing it is
always
fabulous to be
understood when one is pregnant as with the extra hormones all ones
senses and
emotions are more
heightened…….
Thanks again.
