What is Preggi
Bellies?
Preggi
Bellies is a unique training program designed by physiotherapists,
specifically
for women during pregnancy. It consists of one-hour long exercise
classes set
to the latest music. Preggi
Bellies is
the first program to combine
the mediBall,
weights and
core stability
work in pregnancy for an all round cardiovascular and strength building
workout. It
increases cardio vascular
fitness, stabilizes, tones and strengthens all muscle groups and
promotes a
healthy, strong and fit pregnancy.
The
program
is now the #1 pregnancy program available in Australia and South Africa.
The
Preggi
Bellies program offers effective total body re-shaping after childbirth
using
the mediball, weights and steps. All Preggi
Bellies exercises are modified in the class to allow pregnant women at
all
stages of pregnancy, fitness and health to achieve maximum health and
fitness. Each
exercise has different versions relevant
for most pregnancy complications, including unstable pelvis, lower back
problems, SIJ pain, pubic symphysis pain, carpel tunnel syndrome,
varicose
veins etc.
Classes
are run in aerobic rooms of local fitness clubs, located in key
areas. Sessions are arranged at convenient times and locations to suit
both at
home mothers and working women.
We are committed to supporting our clients as much as possible and
expect them
to train twice a week, right up until their due date.
Research has shown that
moms who stop exercising
after 32 weeks lose all their strength and fitness
by the
time they give birth. It
is vital they
maintain this high level of fitness and strength, acquired through the
course,
right up until the time they need it most.
The Exercises
All
exercises are safe
and have been developed over a number of years. They
now
form part of our specialised training regimen. The various exercises
have all
been modified specifically for pregnancy.
Our
classes
have different versions of the same exercise dependant on the
mom’s specific condition.
